Why 'Easy Believism' is the Gospel

Too many "Christians" seem to have a problem with the Imputed Righteousness of Christ which is the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). They just cannot accept the fact that Christ accomplished everything for our salvation. My friend, if you do not completely trust in what Christ did, you may not be saved!

Many people say that people go to hell because of their sins. Of course the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), but we ALL have sinned (Romans 3:23). We all deserve hell.

Here a great sermon by the late Curtis Hutson (1934-1995):

Curtis Hutson was often attacked by other preachers for teaching Easy Believism. But the truth is: salvation IS easy. Why? Because God loves us. Many preachers like Paul Washer say that God did not only hate sin but also people that practice it. I am sorry, but this is heresy. Look at Ezekiel 18:23:

"Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?"

Just to avoid confusion: this was in the Old Testament, back when animal sacrifices were required to wash away sins.

Anyways, how often does people have to do a certain to say they practice it? Two times a week? Three times a week? Four times a week?

If God hated sinners, he would hate all people because we all are sinners. No the truth is: God loves us, he only hates our sins. The qoute "God loves us, but hates our sins", used by Hank Lindstrom, Ralph 'Yankee' Arnold and Thomas M. Cucuzza is absolutely correct and bibllical!

The way is NOT narrow because it was difficult

Yeah, sadly there will be more people in hell than in heaven. Many people say it was because people could not stop sinning. But NOBODY can stop sinning. The reason why most people are on their way to damnation is because they don't really believe the Gospel. Some don't believe in God at all, while others don't believe that what Christ didn't wasn't enough.

People may be confused about Matthew 7:13-14:

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

Many modern translations like the NLT and the New King James Bible have added the statement that the narrow way was difficult. But no, that's not because it's narrow. It's because there is no other way. If you are telling a person that he had to turn from his sins for salvation, then this person is trusting on two things: Jesus Christ AND turning from sins. This person is not saved then. That's dangerous! You MUST trust Christ alone! But most people don't want to.

One term often getting confused with Easy Believism is 'Easy Prayerism'. That's not what Easy Believism stands for! A prayer to get saved is indeed false (I also fell for this heresy weeks before we REALLY got saved). Not saying we shouldn't do a prayer, but not to get saved. That would be wrong because what if a person cannot talk at all? Thent his person had no chance to get saved at all if a prayer was required! Of course God knows this and offers salvation to everybody who TRULY believes.

Here an important video from one of my brethen in Christ, sincitypreacher AKA Luke Boozer:

Absolutely true! Don't use the term "cheap grace"! It was not cheap for Jesus! Or can you imagine how it is to be nailed on a cross?

It makes me very upset that most Baptist Churches - especially the Southern Baptists - rather teach Lordship Salvation than the Imputed Righteousness in Christ. The Lordship Salvation heresy sent Millions of people to hell. Sad, but true. That's why I decided to make this blog.

If you believe that Christ died for all of your sins of past, present and future and that there are no strings attached, you do not have to worry. You are saved!

God bless
